Geolocation data comes from public IP databases and may differ from your physical location. With a VPN, proxy, or mobile network you will see the location of that server/ISP. Stellar does not store your IP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Just open this page. Stellar IP Lookup automatically detects your public IP address along with ISP, ASN, hostname, and approximate location. To check another IP, type an IPv4 or IPv6 address in the search box and click Look Up.

On macOS, Linux, and Windows 10/11 (CMD), run curl -sL stellardigitalinnovations.com/ip. In Windows PowerShell use irm stellardigitalinnovations.com/ip. Use /ip.json for JSON output and /myip to print the IP address only. curl ships with all three operating systems.

A public IP is the address the internet sees when you visit a website. It is assigned by your ISP and is often shared by every device on your network. A local IP (such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) only exists inside your home or office network and cannot be traced from the internet.

IP geolocation is an estimate based on ISP registration data, not GPS. It is usually accurate at country and region level, while city level can be off by tens of kilometers. With a VPN, proxy, or mobile network you will see the location of that server or ISP gateway.

The ISP is the internet service provider that owns the IP address. The ASN (Autonomous System Number) is the unique number that identifies a provider or organization network on the global internet, for example AS15169 for Google.

The blacklist check looks up the IP in DNSBLs such as Spamhaus, SpamCop, and Barracuda, which mail servers use to reject spam. A Policy (PBL) status is normal for home connections and is not a sign of abuse. If your server IP is listed, email sent from that server may land in spam or be rejected.

No. Stellar IP Lookup does not keep a history of visitor IPs. Results are only cached briefly to speed up lookups, and the tool is free with no login.
